Hillary Clinton’s Bad Day
February 22, 2008 by polivox
The day after she and Barack Obama faced off in the Texas Democratic debate, Hillary Clinton was having perhaps one of the worst days of her presidential campaign. The day began with accusations that Clinton herself has borrowed words from others to use in her speeches — a claim she has repeated all week in attacks on Obama.
And then a Dallas Motorcycle officer died in an accident as he rode in the candidates motorcade through downtown Dallas this morning.
Senior Corporal Victor Lozada-Tirado hit a curb while escorting the Clinton motorcade and lost control of his motorcycle. He was propelled through the air at least 30 to 40 feet.
The Clinton campaign released a statement stating that she is “greatly heartsick over this loss of life in the line of duty.” She went on to offer her “deepest” condolences to the officer’s family as well as the Dallas police department. Clinton also said that we would contact the family at an appropriate time.
On the subject of borrowed language, Clinton became the subject of attacks that she too has lifted words and/or phrases from a fellow politician — from her husband!
During Thursday night’s Texas debate, Hillary stated: “You know, the hits I’ve taken in life are nothing compared to what goes on every single day in the lives of people across our country.” The line and her closing arguments garnered the candidate a standing ovation from the crowd and was touted as her strongest moment of the debate.
Not so fast. It seems that in 1992, Bill Clinton, in an interview with the New York Times said: “The hits that I took in this election are nothing compared to the hits the people of this state and this country have been taking for a long time.”
Shame on your Hillary.
I hate to say it because I love the Clintons (even though I’m support Obama), but that’s just lame. It’s all over for Hillary now. All that’s left is for her to realize that it is more gracious to exit stage left than to hang in there and be pushed off the stage. I hope she knows the difference.

i do not like the clintons at all. however as far as her lifting bills words. first os all he is an idiot and i am sure that she wrote his speeches for him. it is also common for long time married people to think alike or use the same words.
