What’s PoliVox?
January 30, 2008 by polivox
Poli+Vox is a hybrid of two Latin words: poli (meaning political or politics) and vox (meaning voice).
Don’t worry, it’s not all about politics, but I hold the belief that all Americans should be concerned with the political arena. So many bad decisions are made by politicians and corruption is widespread because of the crippling level of apathy among voters in America.
So, I will endeavor to present politics for the working stiff in a way that is uncomplicated and straight to the point.
Some will accuse me of being a bleeding-heart liberal. So be it. But I assure you that my political view and beliefs have nothing to do with liberalism but everything to do with my passionate belief in democracy and equally passionate disdain for tyranny, cultural elitism, bigotry and intolerance.
Poli+Vox is also about the politics of living: social issues, pop culture, entertainment and much more.
I will also bring attention to issues, people and places that are often left in the background. Poli+Vox, when I feel it necessary, will shed light on those things that others choose to remain silent about.
I hope you like Poli+Vox and visit often. Please add your comments and share my site with your friends, family and co-workers.
Thank You.

P.S.: A lot of people have commented on the Hillary Clinton photo used in the header of my blog. I’m not picking on poor Hillary. The header photo is changed each month. I take a normal photo of someone in the headlines and ‘alter’ it slightly…or not so slightly.
Below is last month’s popular header photo. I call this one, the Devil and His Stooge.
Feb. 2008/
Presidential Advisor Karl Rove and King George (Bush)
March 2008/
Senator Hillary “I’m Entitled” Clinton
